Dear friends!

In a proposal that raises serious concerns over commercial exploitation of breast milk collected from mothers in Vani Vilas Hospital, Bengaluru, a private company is lobbying for a contract to collect breast milk for free and sell it outside the hospital.

This is nothing but commercialisation and exploitation of poor mothers. There were no specific reasons why the other mothers needed breast milk form the other women. 

This kind of market will attract the poor mothers, and they may sell it and make their babies victims of malnutrition. 

Let us welcome human milk bank to come up that it should not for sale but for the babies who are not able to get breast milk form their mothers.

Donor mothers are needed a thorough conselling and orientation about such practice
